Fall Season Information
Player Registration Fee
The Fall 2026 Player Registration Fee is $140.
- Membership portion of registration fee is $80. Included in this:
- The player’s membership in VYSO, STYSA, US Youth Soccer, and USSF.
- The player’s insurance coverage.
- The fee to the City of Victoria for using the Riverside Soccer Complex.
- General and administrative expenses.
- League expense portion of registration fee is $60. Included in this:
- The player’s full uniform (jersey, shorts, and socks).
- Referee fees and expenses.
- Game day setup and takedown.
- Other league/program expenses.
Verification of Player’s Date of Birth
New Players Must Submit Verification of Date of Birth
We must have proof of the player’s birth date before we can place them on a team. Please provide the player’s birth certificate or passport by:
- Upload into the player’s LeagueApps account during the registration process.
- Email it to execdir@vyso.org.
- Fax it to 361-574-8976.
- Mail a copy to VYSO, PO Box 4212, Victoria, TX 77903.
Banner Sponsorship = FREE Registration!
Businesses and individuals have the opportunity to help support the Victoria Youth Soccer Organization (VYSO) through sponsorship.
With the Banner Sponsor program, the business or individual purchasing the banner sponsorship can designate one player to receive a free REC registration or a discount off his/her Select player registration fee.
The business or individual will also have their banner displayed during the soccer season along the fence at the Riverside Soccer Complex.
Scholarship Program
The Scholarship Program will be available again for the Fall 2026 Season!
- The Victoria Youth Soccer Organization (VYSO) provides a limited number of scholarships to families in need so that all children can have the opportunity to play soccer.
- To be eligible, the family must demonstrate a need for the scholarship, such as by having low income, receiving assistance through a government agency, or by having recently experienced a financial hardship.
- There is not a set amount for each scholarship; however, the maximum amount awarded to a player will be one-half of the registration fee. For the Fall 2026 season, the maximum scholarship award will be $70.00.
- The scholarship funds available will be distributed to all approved applicants based on need.

- Makeup Game Day (if needed) — November 7
Special Requests For Team Placement
The VYSO Board of Directors allows for certain requests to be submitted with regards to team placement of players. No guarantees are given that the requests will be accepted and/or honored.
General Request Requirements
- The player must register by the Special Request deadline: August 1.
- The player must be paid in full, or have a payment plan set up, by August 1.
- The player must have his/her date of birth verified by August 1.
- The player must submit the Special Request Form by August 1.
- The player must pay the non-refundable $5 Special Request Fee by August 1.
- The player can only submit ONE Special Request Form.
Teams From Surrounding Towns
The VYSO Board of Directors will allow teams to be formed that will practice in Edna, Goliad, Port Lavaca, Refugio, or any other town. The games will be played in Victoria. If you would like your child to be placed on a team that practices somewhere other than Victoria, you MUST register your child AND fill out the Special Request For Team Placement request form by the special request deadline of August 1.
Parent Jerseys
You can order a jersey that will be the same color and style as your child’s. It will also have your child’s number on the back!
- You do NOT need to know your child’s team, uniform color, or jersey number.
- The deadline to order a Parent Jersey is Saturday, August 29, 2026.
- Parent Jerseys are $40.

Late Registration Information
A non-refundable late fee of $50 will be added to all registrations received August 9 through August 22, 2026.
- The late fee may also be added if the verification of the player’s date of birth is received on or after August 8.
- Late players will be randomly assigned to teams as space allows.
Refund Policy
Refund requests will be accepted during the on-time registration period. No refund requests will be accepted after the on-time registration deadline. The dates and deadlines are posted on the VYSO website.
Late Fee: there will be a $50 late fee applied to all REC player registrations received within fourteen (14) days after the on-time registration deadline, as posted on the VYSO website. These late fees are non-refundable.
REFUND WHEN A TEAM IS CLOSED DUE TO LACK OF A VOLUNTEER COACH
When a team does not have a coach by the deadline posted on the VYSO website, the children on that team will not get to play and a future season credit will be given for the membership expense portion of the registration fee. The league expense portion of the registration fee will be deducted from the future season credit. The registration fee, showing the membership expense portion and the league expense portion, is posted on the REC registration page of the VYSO website.
The deadline to request a refund is August 8.
How Teams Are Formed
Recreational teams are formed according to Standing Rules Article 1 and Article 2.
Recreational teams are formed according to Standing Rules Article 1 and Article 2. For the Fall Season, the Board of Directors determines the age groups/divisions and the number of teams per division. Teams and players are not kept together from the previous season. Players are randomly assigned to teams according to age. Player movements are then made according to Standing Rules Article 2.8.
